Winter pre-season has started for the first team, as the squad met for the first time in 2017 on Wednesday at Letná.

The squad, currently available to the sports director and the manager Tomáš Požár has slightly changed over the winter break.

Néstor Albiach and Bogdan Vatajelu, two winter signings, have met their new teammates or the first time. A couple of other players returning from loan – Budinský, Březina, Hybš or Nečas - joined the team as well. Tiémoko Konaté was also reunited with the team, after spending most of the autumn part of the season with the junior squad.

Only two players missing on Wednesday were Martin Frýdek, who is recovering from his knee surgery in Regensburg, and Costa, who is preparing with the team Zimbabwe for the upcoming African Cup of Nations.

Apart from the coaching change announced earlier, with Tomáš Požár taking over the team and Petr Havlíček joining the coaching team, a couple of other changes were made in the team staff.

Vít Zelenka was joined by another physio, Lukáš Marešovský, who was promoted from the youth academy. Václav Polák, one of the fitness coaches, was replaced by Pavel Rada, who was working with Sparta talents at Strahov as well.

The team will travel to two training camps in Málaga and Valencia and will play seven friendly matches. Here’s the list of the friendlies.
