Since they arrived to Jerez, Sparta played two friendly games there. They faced Chinese Champion Guangzhou Evergrande and Russian top division team FK Krasnodar. However, they are still waiting for a victory.
It was an even match against Marcelo Lippi’s Guangzhou, but it were the Chinese to open the score. Zhang Linpeng had an easy task to put it in after a deflected corner from the left side. Sparta have increased the pace in the second half and ten minutes before the final whistle they scored the equaliser. Lukáš Vácha scored his first goal for Sparta with a lovely shot from outside the box.
In the second match of the training camp, Sparta faced Russian side FK Krasnodar, currently placed 10th in the Russian top division. It actually seemed as an easy one from the beginning, as Leonard Kweuke opened the score after 16 minutes of play. However, the opposition had not given up and levelled the score in the 32nd minute by Shipitsin. The Russian team managed to score two game-deciding goals in the very first minutes of the second half. Roman Bednář only set the final score 2-3 twelve minutes before the end, also with his first goal for Sparta.
The last game is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, when we take on Romanian top division team Concordia Chiajna.
