Sparta first team played the friendly match against Loko Vltavín last Thursday at the Training Ground and Jiří Boula, a member of our U19s squad was sitting in the school that day as usual. It was a nice surprise when he received a call and he played the last twenty minutes of that match as it was his first senior squad appearance.

In the end, he also travelled with the squad to Spain for the second training winter camp.

"I found it out during the Friday when coach Erich Brabec told me the information I will go to Spain with the first team. I really didn't count on it but I was really happy. I had to tell it to my girlfriend and my parents immediately."

The 18 years old defender or midfielder has been playing for Sparta since his six years and it's a great reward to be part of the first team. But he already knows he has to work even harder.

"Everything is much faster and I have to be used to it quickly."

He is also happy that there are players in the squad who were in the youth teams same as he like Michal Sáček or Jiří Kulhánek and others.

"It's a big advantage for me because I know these guys. I have a great respect for older players and it's a big pleasure to be on the same team and be able to train with these great footballers. I, of course, always watched matches of our first team in the past but it's a fantastic opportunity to know them better during training sessions."

Jiří was one of the players who travelled with the U21s team to training camp in Pec pod Sněžkou (Czech mountains) earlier in January this year. "I really don't moan about this weather change..."
