Sparta suffered a 1-4 in the first friendly at the summer pre-season camp in Austria. However, the result was not the right thing to focus at this time.

Considering this, Andrea Stramaccioni was not that concerned about the result.

“Of course, the result is not good. But I am not worried, the players have had some tough physical trainings in recent days. We have played well in the first half, but conceded two stupid goals. For me, it is now important to try different things, in order to find out the details of characteristics of all the players,” the manager said.

The boys have been training hard recent days, as improving the strength, stamina and overall fitness has been the main goal of the coaching squad.

“The boys have been working hard. The ones who played longer were lacking stamina. And I wanted to take Šural, Mareček, Lafata, Vácha and Kadlec off, because now it’s not the right time for them to play for that long,” Stramaccioni explained.

Dynamo dominated in the second half, as they are finishing their pre-season training – meanwhile, Sparta players are still getting used to new tactics and overall football philosophy, brought by the new coaching staff. And they still have three weeks to go.

“You could see they were in another phase. Their movement was light, while our legs felt heavy. But I am pretty sure we’ll work this out soon,” said Josef Šural, one of the most dangerous offensive players on Sunday evening.

“We’re getting used to new tactics, there’s been a lot of changes. Now we have gotten to learn the set pieces, because the trainings have been really physical lately. But once we get to know everything, we will be a much better team,” Šural said.
