Sparta are through to the semifinal of MOL Cup thanks to a 2-0 win over Liberec in the quarterfinal second leg at Letná.

Sparta started the match also with the Frýdek, Brabec and Šural who played for national team a day ago in Sweden. Liberec had the first chance of the match but Bartl was denied with great save by Miroslav Miller.

Petr Jiráček opened the score in the 27th minute with great strike just only a few metres outside of the penalty area after a good assists from Tiémoko Konaté.

Liberec was a better side after at the start of the second half but all the shots were blocked by defenders.

Kehinde Fatai had a great chance to score the second in the 75th minute but he was unable to score despite the goal was empty. Sparta striker was luckier just five minutes later when he collected the ball at half line and goalkeeper was unable to save Fatai’s accurate shot.

Liberec had one big chance in the stoppage time but Miller made another great save with a small help from stick. Sparta won 2-0 and are through to the semifinal of domestic cup.
