Even though Sparta had a couple of good chances, Plzeň’s goalkeeper Matúš Kozáčik remained unbeaten. On the other side, Krmenčík scored the only goal of the match and Viktoria defeated Sparta 1-0.

David Lafata started from the very beginning and pushed Daniel Holzer to the bench. Václav Kadlec played as the left wing instead.

The captain was involved in Sparta’s first big chances in the match. In the first one, he played a nice through pass to the box and found Václav Kadlec, who only hit Kozáčik from a close distance. In the second one, Bořek Dočkal fired after his pass from the edge of the box, forcing Kozáčik to make another good save.

And so it was the home side to open the score from Viktoria’s only chance in the match. Krmenčík cleverly redirected Hubník’s cross past Koubek and opened the score.

Early after the break, it was Lafata again. He caught Kozáčik’s bad pass and tried to lob the ball over the keeper, who, however, managed to get back and push the ball away. Ondřej Zahustel then missed the goal with a nice header after a cross from the left.

After Hrošovský’s nice shot that went just wide, and Sparta’s final pressure, Viktoria won 1-0.
