Kulhánek returns, Köstl and Wiesner head to Liberec

Shortly before the start of the winter pre season, a number of squad changes happens between Sparta and Slovan Liberec. Jiří Kulhánek returns back to Letná, while Daniel Köstl and Tomáš Wiesner head to Slovan on a trial.

Defensive midfielder Jiří Kulhánek spent the autumn part of the 2017-2018 season on loan in Liberec. He became one of Slovan’s key players and has earned his spot in the Czech U21 national team. He made 11 league appearances, playing 811 minutes in total. He also made two MOL Cup appearances, having played 194 minutes.

Kulhánek will join Sparta’s first team squad on January 4.

Daniel Köstl is heading to Liberec, after recovering from his health problems during the first part of the season and playing four Junior league matches and scoring one goal. Köstl also played in the Premier League International Cup and UEFA Youth League.

Tomáš Wiesner joins Köstl on the way to Liberec. 20-years old midfielder played on loan in the second division side Vlašim, having made 15 appearances and scoring one goal.
