Sparta managed to add one more win before the international break, beating Dukla Prague 2-0 away from home after two strikes by Martin Frýdek.

Zahustel and Juliš returned back to the line-up and faced two former Sparta players, Ondřej Kušnír and Jakub Podaný in the Dukla kit.

Both of them started in Dukla’s defence, which was working pretty well in the beginning, even though it was Ondřej Zahustel to create the first big chance of the match. However, he only hit one of Dukla’s defenders in front of the goal.

On the other side, Koubek had to make his first big save of the match, tipping Tetour’s shot on the post, and then only watched Olayinka missing the goal with the rebound. Sparta answered right back, but Zahustel and Juliš both hit a defender again in their scoring positions.

Home centre back Štětina failed in Dukla’s opening chance of the second half, missing the goal completely after a long throw-in landed right in front of him.

And so it were Sparta to score first. Martin Frýdek fired from a long distance, his shot got slightly redirected and ended up in the net, as Dukla’s goalkeeper Hroššo was helpless.

Twenty minutes later, Frýdek added another strike after a lovely passing play finished with a clever through-pass by Vácha.

Dukla put all their strength in the offence and created two good chances, but Tomáš Koubek did a brilliant job in the goal and kept the clean sheet. Well-deserved points for Sparta!
