Sparta earned their first three points for a 1-0 away win over Mladá Boleslav. David Lafata scored the game-winner after a cross by Jonathan Biabiany, who made his Sparta debut.

Plenty of changes were made in the line-up, as Koubek replaced Dúbravka, Zahustel played for Karavaev, Sáček for Mavuba, Lafata for Janko and Biabiany for Plavšić in his first match for Sparta. Michal Kadlec also left from the warm-ups and had to be replaced by Ćivić before the kick-off.

Both keepers did a good job at the start, Koubek made a good save on Fleišman’s shot and Vejmola denied Biabiany from a breakaway.

David Lafata scored the game-winning goal after 28 minutes of play, heading in a nice cross by Biabiany. Michal Sáček also played part, finding Biabiany with a clever through pass before.

Mladá Boleslav have increased their pace, but Sparta controlled the play for most of the time. Takács missed the goal in the biggest chance, while Sparta threatened at the very end of the match.

Plavšić failed in two breakaways, hitting the keeper and a defender, then he crossed the ball perfectly and Tomáš Rosický hit the post with a header.

Despite that, Sparta kept the lead until the final whistle to earn the first win of the season.
