Sparta are eliminated from the MOL Cup after an 3-1 extra time lost to FC Fastav Zlín.

Coach David Holoubek gave chance to 17-years old midfielder Václav Dudl chance from the first minute in the starting XI same as to Daniel Köstl who started the match in central defender position. Costa played also in the starting XI for the first time after injury.

Zlín’s Vukadinovič had first chance just after three minutes of play but he missed the target from close range. Defender Jugas missed his good opportunity after corner kick a couple of minutes later.

Sparta opened the score in the 18th minute when Costa’s cross found Matěj Pulkrab header and young striker put the ball into the net.

Home side equalised the score just seven minutes after the break when Jordan scored after the corner kick.

Both teams missed several chances before the end of the 90 minutes and match went to extra time. A few seconds before the end of the 1st half of the extra time Zlín took the lead after Harba put the ball to the net at the second attempt.

Lukáš Mareček was sent-off after a handball in the box and Vukadinovic makes it 3-1 for Zlín from penalty kick in 111th minute.

Sparta was unable to make comeback and are eliminated from the domestic cup competition.
