Sparta were in lead for most of the first round match against Bohemians, but earn only one point after a late equaliser.

Stramaccioni made five changes in the line-up, replacing Štetina with Mareček, making room for Mavuba at the centre of the pitch. Ben Chaim started as the left wing and Lafata replaced Janko up front.

The opposition threatened with Tetteh and Mašek in the first half, but Dúbravka didn’t have to make a save at all.

On the other side, Hůlka brought down Ben Chaim in the penalty area and David Lafata made no mistake from the spot, scoring his 200th league goal in his career.

Ben Chaim was not far from scoring himself, but Bohemians keeper Fryšták made a brilliant save on his lovely shot from outside of the box.

Srdjan Plavšić could also score his debut goal for Sparta in the second half, made his was from the right side to the centre and firing, but he only hit the post with his low shot.

Bohemians put on a good performance at Letná, though. They were close to levelling the score in the 72nd minute, but one of the home side defenders managed to clear the ball from the scrumble in front of Dúbravka.

Despite the long lead, Sparta left the pitch disappointed. Two minutes before the final whistle Dúbravka made a save on a shot from outside of the box, but the ball bounced to Šmíd who tipped it in and secured a point for Bohemians.
