Sparta first team lost to Spartak Moscow in the last winter pre-season friendly in Spain as Lorenzo Melgarejo scored the winning goal for Spartak.

Coach Andrea Stramaccioni couldn't use Josef Šural and Tal Ben Chaim due to slight injuries but we saw the first Florin Nita appearance in Sparta jersey after his move from FCSB.

Sparta squad was more active in the opening minutes of the match but players were unable to finish their chances and Spartak took the lead in the 13th minute after Quincy's shot inside the penalty area.

It was tied again after five minutes as Ondřej Zahustel won the battle in the penalty area and found Václav Kadlec before the goal and it was easy to score for Sparta striker.

The first halftime ended with a 1-1 draw. After several changes on both sides, the game was not so adventurous and there were the only couple of shots. Guélor Kanga was in two chances but both his shots didn't hit the target.

Substituted Lorenzo Melgarejo had his first chance a couple of minutes after his arrival to the pitch but Nita was well prepared. But it was him who scored the winning goal as made it to the penalty area and scored with a fine chip over Nita in the 78th minute.

Ondřej Zahustel had the last big chance of the match five minutes later but Selikhov saved his volley after a pass by Kanga and Sparta lost to Spartak by one goal.
