Sparta homegrown striker Matěj Pulkrab agreed on a contract extension, valid through the 2019-2020 season.

Talented youth national team player made his way all the way to the first team and debuted this Sunday against Jablonec, scoring his first goal for Sparta with his first shot.

Perspective attacker with a brilliant sense of positioning and a great productivity was a key part of the U19 squad, winning the championship last season, despite spending the second part of the season on loan in Liberec. That was where he made his Czech top division debut and scored his first league goals.

For Liberec, Pulkrab had played 154 minutes in seven matches and scored four goals. He was supposed to stay at Slovan for another 1,5 years, but Sparta called him back and ended the loan.

After certain health issues during the summer pre-season, he returned back to training recently and player his first match for Sparta last week against SønderjyskE, coming on the pitch as a substitute.

In this weekend‘s match against Jablonec, he scored his first league goal for the club that raised him – in the first league match playing for Sparta, converting a lovely header in the 75th minute.

19-years old striker agreed to extend his contract until 2020.
