It was an important match and a big success for Sparta, who gave Liberec absolutely no chance at Letná, beating the opponent 3-0. Bořek Dočkal recorded three assists in the match.

Zdeněk Ščasný surprised, as Ladislav Krejčí started as a left back, leaving his position as a winger available for Petr Jiráček. Up front, Lukáš Juliš got his chance as the only striker.

Sparta’s start of the match was a bit slow, but after Luckassen’s chance, they finally started to pick up pace. Mareček’s powerful shot was saved by Hladký, Konaté just missed the goal and Dočkal only hit a defender with his volley.

Finally, the goals started to come late in the first half and Boček Dočkal assisted on both of them. First, Krejčí netted his low cross from the right, then Juliš beat Hladký from a close distance minutes later.

Sparta added their third strike early in the second half, as Dočkal tipped the ball to Konaté from a breakaway, and the winger gave Hladký no chance.

The three goal gap was too big for Liberec, and despite some minor chances for the away side, Sparta managed to keep the score intact until the final whistle without any serious problems. One point from the final two league matches will be enough for them to clinch the second spot in the league table.
