Sparta did a tremendous job against Příbram, controlled the play for the whole 90 minutes and earned all the points. David Lafata scored another hattrick in a 4-0 win.

Apart from all the injured, Lukáš Mareček wasn’t available as well, having been sent-off in the last cup match in Zlín. Mario Holek replaced him as a defensive midfielder.

Sparta were active from the very beginning, but Příbram’s goalkeeper Hruška denied Juliš in the two first big chances of the match. However, when Karavaev fired from a distance, the ball slipped in between Hruška’s legs and Sparta were in the lead.

On the other side, Brandner answered with a nice shot, curling the ball to the far post, but Tomáš Koubek made a great save and tipped the ball over the crossbar.

And so it were Sparta to strike again. Only moments before the halftime whistle, Holzer found Lafata with a clever pass and the captain made no mistake.

Even though it were Příbram to have their first chance in the second half, as Koubek had to make another good save on Pilík’s free kick, Sparta scored their third. Matěj Pulkrab got rid of three defenders at once and crossed the ball to Lafata, who turned around and gave Hruška no chance at all.

Five minutes before the final whistle, Lafata completed his hattrick, beating Hruška with a heavy shot from the right and setting the final score.
