Sparta played their first friendly in a Spanish training camp against Romanian side CS Pandurii. Even though they were behind early in the match, they managed to fight back and get a 1-1 draw.

Sparta started the match off slowly and it was the opposition to create the first chances. Wellington opened the score from the spot after Mazuch’s tackle in the box. Wellington made no mistake with his penalty, even though Miller touched it with the tip of his boot.

Then, chances started coming on the other side, too. Dočkal hit the defender and Petr Jiráček waited too long to hit the empty net, so the opposition’s defence managed to clear the ball. A couple of minutes later, his header went right to the goalkeeper’s gloves.

Sparta were much better in the second half, and the chances started coming quickly. Ondřej Zahustel missed with his header after a corner kick only by inches. He was luckier a couple of minutes later, hitting the top corner from the edge of the box.

Despite the final pressure, Sparta could not score their go-ahead goal, and only drew 1-1 with Pandurii.
